Performance Resources

The following resources may be helpful to learn more about performance management, measurement, and metrics. The resources are organized in four categories: Government Sites; Non-Government Organization Sites; Academic Sites; and Commercial Sites. The Department of the Interior does not endorse any of the commercial sites, but is providing this information as a service to the viewers of the Office of Planning and Performance Management web page.

Government Sites

Performance.gov - Performance.gov is a window to the Obama Administration's efforts to deliver a more effective, smarter, and leaner government.  Performance.gov advances the President's commitment to communicate candidly and concisely what the Federal Government is working to accomplish, how it seeks to accomplish its objectives, and why these efforts are important.

Office of Management and Budget (OMB) - OMB's predominant mission is to assist the President in overseeing the preparation of the federal budget and to supervise its administration in Executive Branch agencies. In helping to formulate the President's spending plans, OMB evaluates the effectiveness of agency programs, policies, and procedures, assesses competing funding demands among agencies, and sets funding priorities. OMB ensures that agency reports, rules, testimony, and proposed legislation are consistent with the President's Budget and with Administration policies.
