Although the focus of this site is on assisting military or veterans in finding a job, the information is also helpful to anyone interested in working as a wildland firefighter or in wildland fire management.
How to use this road map to find a job
This site has information divided into three sections, or phases, presented in a series of questions and answers to help improve your understanding of the types of jobs in wildland fire that could lead to finding a job or career in wildland fire management.
- The first is the "Exploratory Phase," where you will be guided in your search of job opportunities and to find out if a job in wildland fire may be right for you.
- The second is the "Application Phase," where you can find out about applying for jobs.
- The third is the "Integration Phase," where you can learn more about what to expect on the job and how you can make wildland fire fighting a career.
