The Department of the Interior is committed to building conflict management skills and developing collaboration competencies to improve communication, collaborative problem solving and timely decision-making in all areas of the Department’s work. CADR's trainings support these goals by providing a better understanding of conflict and recognizing the value of cooperative and collaborative behaviors. The overall goal of the CADR training program is to build awareness and skills in conflict management and collaborative problem solving so that DOI employees are more efficient in accomplishing DOI’s work through making more effective decisions.

As a lawyer supervising a group of personnel attorneys, I appreciate the value this training brings to the workforce because it improves the understanding of both supervisors and employees to work more effectively together.
