Subject: Production and Procurement of Business Cards at Government
Expense
Attached is a copy of a memorandum issued by the Assistant Secretary -
Policy, Management and Budget on April 13, 1998, authorizing
production and procurement of business cards at Government expense.
This policy change is based on a Department of Justice ruling that
allows agencies to use funds available in their general appropriations
to procure business cards.
Care should be taken to ensure all orders for business cards are
placed with one of the sources authorized in the memorandum, since use
of appropriated funds for procurement from other sources is not
authorized.
