Subject: Discontinuance of SF 1166 OCR Vouchers for issue of
Payments
Attached is a copy of Treasury Financial Manual Bulletin No. 97-03. The
bulletin advises Federal agencies that the SF 1666 OCR voucher for
issuance of Treasury checks will no longer be used.
Bureaus currently utilizing the SF 1166 OCR voucher for payment
processing must make arrangements to use an alternative such as ECS,
magnetic tape, or telecommunications. The date for discontinuance of
the SF 166 OCR voucher is April 1, 1997.
