FOREWORD

On May 24, 2011, the President issued a Memorandum on Federal Fleet Performance.  Section 1 (b) of the Presidential Memorandum requires Agency executive fleets to achieve maximum fuel efficiency, be limited in motor vehicle body and engine size, and ensure optional equipment is limited to what is essential to meet Agency mission requirements.  Additionally, the executive fleet vehicles are to be mid-sized or smaller, except where larger sedans are essential to the Agency mission.

The Memorandum requires that within 180 days of the date of issuance, any executive fleet vehicle larger than mid-size sedan, or which does not comply with the requirement of the vehicle(s) being an alternative fueled vehicle, must be disclosed on the Agency website.  Executive fleet vehicles are defined as vehicles used primarily to transport Senior Executives (Heads of Agencies, Senior Executive Service (SES) employees, and General Officers).
