BID PROCEDURES

A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 payable to the FSM Treasury for the RFP is required. All necessary information needed for the FSM Airport Capitol

Improvement Projects can be picked up at the Department of Transportation, Communications & Infrastructure,  Division of Civil Aviation at Pa1ikir, Pohnpei FM 96941.

Bidders are required to submit a bid security deposit in the amount of $500.00 in the form of cashier's check or money order payable to the FSM Treasury. The bid security is refundable after the execution of the contract with the successful bidder.

The FSM Department of Transportation, Communications & Infrastructure has the option of awarding all or a portion of the advertised work; work may be awarded to several different consultants. Work will also be authorized over a period of time through CHANGE ORDER at the discretion of the department. All bidders are required to submit the Contractor's Qualification and Notice of Intention to Bid during the Bid Opening. Any prospective bidder who fails to provide such document is subject to disqualification from the bidding.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled to be held on October 29. 2004 at 3:00 pm local time at the FSM Department of Transportation, Communications & Infrastructure in Palikir, Pohnpei State. The FSM Department of Transportation, Communications & Infrastructure reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bid documents. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days subsequent to the submittal of bid without the consent of the Contracting Officer. All questions or concerns by the bidders are to be presented at the Pre-bid Conference.
