Northern Marianas Little League Team Goes International

As reported by the OIA field officer in Saipan, the CNMI Little League team, representing the Pacific Region, faced some major international competition in Williamsport, Virginia during the week of August 20.  Saipan, in resplendent yellow and blue played Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Canada in its first round, after which they were eliminated. 

The NMI team, won the Pacific Region title two weeks ago in Hong Kong, beating out Taiwan, New Zealand, Philippines, Guam, Palau, and Hong Kong.  This is the second time in three years that Saipan has won the Pacific Regional Title and has represented the region at the International level.
