Both rules require trustees to maintain an administrative record of their assessments. The CERCLA rule also requires preparation of a Report of Assessment, summarizing the results of the assessment.

43 CFR 11.90(a)

At the conclusion of an assessment, the authorized official must prepare a Report of Assessment that consists of the Preassessment Screen Determination, the Assessment Plan, and the information specified in paragraphs (b) [on type A assessments] and (c) [on type B assessments] of this section as applicable.
