Privacy Reports

Federal agencies are required to prepare various privacy reports that describe agency privacy compliance activities and show how the agency meets Federal privacy requirements.

Annual FISMA SAOP Report

Federal agencies submit the annual Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP) report to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as required under the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA).  The SAOP report documents findings from privacy program reviews and compliance activities.  OMB annual reports to Congress on Federal agency implementation of the FISMA are available on the OMB Office of E-Government & Information Technology website.

Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the E-Government Act of 2002

Federal agencies submit annual reports to OMB for the Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the E-Government Act of 2002 that includes descriptions of agency compliance with the privacy provisions of the E-Government Act.  The Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the E-Government Act of 2002 is available on the OMB Office of E-Government & Information Technology website.  DOI annual submissions to OMB for the Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the E-Government Act of 2002 may be viewed at Interior's E-gov site.

ISE Annual Report to the Congress

Federal agencies submit annual reports to the Program Manager for the Information Sharing Environment (ISE) for the ISE Annual Report to the Congress in accordance with the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004.  This annual report includes a section dedicated to protecting privacy, civil liberties and civil rights and meeting compliance requirements and Administration performance goals for information sharing and safeguarding.  The ISE Annual Report to the Congress is available to members of the general public on the ISE website.
