DOI initially awarded a 3-year Symantec Enterprise Agreement on September 30, 2003. The basic offering consists of Symantec Anti-Virus Enterprise Edition (SAVEE) Software solution that delivers multi-tiered and enterprise strength protection for: 1) desktop and file server level; 2) messaging servers; 3) SMTP Gateway; and 4) ftp and http traffic going though the firewall. As of October 1, 2006, DOI completed the Symantec Enterprise Agreement (SEA) renewal as a follow-on to the existing contract. The SEA renewal consists of extending maintenance support for the existing licenses on all platforms of the Symantec Anti-Virus Enterprise Edition (SAVEE) software that DOI already owns as part of the initial contract. Specifically, the 3+ year renewal consists of the following components: 1) maintenance support on existing SAVEE Licenses, Technical Account Managers (TAMs), and other Symantec products owned by the bureaus; 2) new requirements for SAVEE licenses and various other Symantec products, and 3) an IDIQ consisting of various Symantec products and services that may be purchased by DOI employees on an “as needed” basis throughout the duration of the contract.
