Deployments--Location Nodes the Easy Way

If your location data is already in a CSV file, you can import the information very easily as described below. Otherwise, you will need to enter the data manually. You should be entering mostly server-side components. For client-side components, use a dummy location node such as “Multiple Client Locations” and a dummy processing node such as “Multiple Clients”.

Open the Import Data window

On DEAR's menu bar, select "Dictionary/Import Definitions".

Select Dictionary/Import Definitions

You will get this window:

Browse  Browse

Click on "Browse" and find your CSV file.

Select LOCATION-NODE  Select LOCATION-NODE

Select "LOCATION-NODE". Note that this is NOT the same as “Location”.

OK  OK

Leave the default values in all the other fields, and click "OK". You'll get a report window, showing the location node data you just imported..

Where you go next

You are now ready to enter the server information, from a CSV file or manually.
