Report Shows Decline in Bird Populations
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar joined representatives from bird research and conservation organizations at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. Thursday to release the first ever comprehensive report on bird populations in the United States. The report, The U.S. State of Birds, was developed by a partnership among the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, state government wildlife agencies and non-governmental organizations.
