Secretary Salazar Participates in MLK Day of Service

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Director of the National Park Service joined volunteers from Greater DC Cares and Howard University students to clean up around the DC War Memorial in celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service and honor Dr. King’s life and legacy. This year, the King Day of Service included thousands of projects across all 50 states – from delivering meals and refurbishing schools to reading to children, promoting nonviolence and more.
