Secretary Salazar to Discuss Backcountry Areas Deserving Congressional Protection as Conservation Lands or Wilderness

WASHINGTON DC – On Thursday, November 10, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will hold a news media teleconference to discuss the release of a report on backcountry areas deserving protection by Congress as national conservation areas or as Wilderness. The Secretary will be joined by Interior Deputy Secretary David J. Hayes and Director of the Bureau of Land Management Bob Abbey.
