Salazar to Announce Major Milestone for Renewable Energy Development in Western States

WASHINGTON, DC – As part of the Obama Administration’s “all-of-the-above” energy strategy to expand domestic energy production, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar today will make a major announcement regarding renewable energy development on public lands in six western states – Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
Salazar will be joined on the media teleconference by Bureau of Land Management Acting Director Mike Pool and the Department of Energy’s Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, David Danielson.
