Cabinet Members and Other Leaders Launch
"Get Outdoors, It's Yours" Campaign
To Help Children Discover Nature

Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne, Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer and Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Don T. Riley will join leaders of the National Recreation and Park Association to launch a “Get Outdoors, It’s Yours” campaign on Tuesday, Oct. 14. During the NRPA Congress and Exposition in Baltimore, the federal leaders will announce the campaign to get children connected to nature on behalf of eight federal bureaus and agencies. NRPA and other nonprofit organizations will sign a pledge of support for the effort. “Sid the Science Kid” from PBS will help launch “Get Outdoors, It’s Yours.”
