Secretary Kempthorne, National Park Service Director Bomar, Congressman Dicks to Hold Joint Teleconference on National Park Service Centennial Initiative Project Announcement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne, National Park Service Director Mary Bomar and Congressman Norm Dicks will hold a joint media teleconference on Thursday, August 23, 2007 to discuss the announcement of the first ever project and program proposals for the ‘National Park Centennial Challenge,’ a critical public-private partnership to fund $2 billion of the President’s $3-billion National Park Centennial Initiative to invigorate America’s national parks in time for the August 25, 2016, centennial of the National Park Service.
