On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Obama Administration Officials will hold a conference call with reporters to discuss the Memorandum of Understanding agreed to by nine federal agencies on transmission siting on federal lands. Secretary Salazar, Chair Nancy Sutley of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Chairman Jon Wellinghoff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Deputy Under Secretary Dorothy Robyn of the Department of Defense will participate on the call.
This MOU is among the U.S. Department of the Interior, Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, the Council on Environmental Quality, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
