WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Department of the Interior is asking for public comment on the revision of its Strategic Plan for fiscal years 2010-2015.  A Federal Register notice requesting comments was published today and provides for a 60-day comment period ending November 10, 2009.

“This strategic plan will serve as our road map by establishing direction, priorities and goals for Interior,” said Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.  “It will also include performance measures that will gauge how well we progressing toward the results we have committed ourselves to achieve.”

The Departmental plan was last revised and updated in 2006; it must be updated at least every three years in accordance with the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993.
