Snack Bar Opens

Snack Bar Hours: Monday - Friday   7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The new snack bar, located on the forth floor, just down the hall from Mickey’s Snack Bar, is open a ready for business. Occupants will be able to enjoy healthy food choices including: baked potatoes; a sandwich bar; pizza, a selection of juices, bottled and fountain beverages; prepackaged sandwiches and breakfast foods including fresh pastries, eggs, granola and protein bars; pretzels; fresh fruit; and a variety of chips, coffees and teas. Check out the new space, the stainless steel cases, coffee stations, track and fluorescent lighting, and linoleum flooring. Stop by and try something from the new menu!

4th Wing Re-occupation

Moves start on Friday, MAY 30, 2008 and will take place on the weekends to limit disruption to occupants!

The following groups will be moving into renovated space so check the Modernization Program Office Webpage for new locations and room numbers. NBC Directors Group, SFMB (Budget), OCIO, Solicitors, Mineral Management Service, Office of Inspector General, Office of Law Enforcement, BIA Help Desk, Credit Union, Office of Insular Affairs, Office of Environmental Policy and Compliance, Administrative Operations, NBC Audio, NBC Human Resources, Competitive Sourcing, DOIU-IT, Health Unit, Drug Program, Watch Office.

New Safety Officer on Board!

The Modernization Program Office welcomes Steve D’Antoni to the MPO team and NBC. Steve holds an MS. in Industrial Engineering and Technology for Texas A&M with a concentration in Occupational Safety and Health Management. He has worked with the Department of Army, the Architect of the Capital and more recently, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ( NOAA). Steve will be located in room 2507. So please stop by and welcome him when you get a chance.

Telephone Training Available

Telephone training will be available for all groups that are moving into modernized space since new instruments are being provided. Your existing telephone should remain connected in your office and the NBC telecom technicians will do the relocation if required. All occupants moving into modernized space are encouraged to take time to participate in telephone training. To register for the training go to: https://doi1.ios.doi.gov/idvctrainingsignup.nsf.

Did You Know?

• Your new office space has adjustable air, heating, and lighting?
• There is a kitchenette in each wing of the modernized space?
• All new offices in wings 4, 5 and 6, will be retro-fit with blast mitigation blinds. Wings 3, 2 and 1 will have the blinds added during construction.
• Moves start on Friday nights and are completed by Monday morning?
