From Spoil to Splendor: A Story of Chesapeake Bay Island Restoration at Poplar Island

Join Peter McGowan, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Wildlife Biologist to learn more about the Paul S. Sarbanes Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island.  This restoration project uses clean dredged material from the shipping channels near Baltimore, Maryland, to create remote island habitat in the Chesapeake Bay for the benefit of wildlife. The presentation will also highlight the role the USFWS plays in wildlife management at the site.
