Details: The 2011 Virginia earthquake caused sizable cracks to the stonework of the Washington Monument. National Park Service Civil Engineer Ned Wallace will discuss the methods used for the post-earthquake damage assessments, computer modeling of the monument, and the types of repairs being completed on the 555-foot-tall Monument.
