This presentation will cover and discuss the life, and legacy of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, and the National Park Service rehabilitation plans for his Washington, D.C. residence located in the historic Shaw neighborhood. Alex Romero Superintendant of National Capital Park East will discuss the planning efforts for the historic site, and Central District Manager, Joy Kinard, Ph.D. will discuss the life of Dr. Woodson, and available educational programming for the Woodson Home.
