  • April 2Interior Museum: Sculptor, Jay Hall Carpenter will talk about his work with Frederick Hart to create the Three Soldier Group, part of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
  • April 15 (1:00 pm - 1:45 pm) - Park Ranger Speaker Series at the Interior Library: The Equestrian Statues of Washington, DC.
  • April 16 (10:00am) - Training Session at the Interior Library: Introduction to the Congressional Hearings and Research Digital Collections.
  • April 19 - The Interior Museum presents Pamela Scott, author, scholar, and curator for the history of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial for a gallery talk at 2 pm. In conjunction with the exhibition: Vietnam Veterans Memorial: America Responds, Ms. Scott will discuss the emotionally charged creation of our most visited national memorial.
  • April 30 (10:00am) - Training Session at the Interior Library: Mining for Market Data on LexisNexis.
May 2008
  • May 7 – Annual DOI Cultural Resources and Events Rachel Carson lecture on the importance of getting children outdoors.  Speaker to be announced.
  • May 13 (2:00pm) - Training Session at the Interior Library: DOI Library Tour.
  • May 20 (1:00 pm - 1:45 pm) - Park Ranger Speaker Series at the Interior Library: Prince William Forest Park.

  • June 17 (1:00 pm – 1:45 pm) - Park Ranger Speaker Series at the Interior Library: The Lincoln Cottage at the Soldier’s Home
  • June 18 (10:00am) - Training Session at the Interior Library: Introduction to Matthew Bender Treatises on LexisNexis.
  • June 21 - The Interior museum is open from 1 to 4 pm on the third Saturday of every month except for all Federal Holidays.
  • June 26 (10:00am) - Training Session at the Interior Library: IWestlaw: Introduction and New Features.
