Interior Business Center to Host Technology Showcase
The Interior Business Center (IBC) will host its first annual technology showcase on April 10, 2014 at the Main Interior Building, in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the event is to share information about new and emerging technologies with potential to help DOI bureaus and offices meet their missions more efficiently and effectively.
IBC's Acquisition Services Directorate provides assisted acquisition support to the Department of the Interior and other federal agencies. The technology day will showcase innovative solutions that have been developed through research and development efforts in support of IBC's customers at DHS, DARPA, IARPA, and the Army National Guard. Research and development costs for technologies on display have already been incurred, which creates opportunities for economies of scale.
During the event, DOI program managers, project managers, contracting officers, and law enforcement professionals will see live demonstrations and engage with representatives from IBC's customer agencies that built the technologies. The exhibits will showcase technologies in the fields of defense and homeland security equipment, crowd management capabilities, geo-spatial decisional systems, network security, multimedia analysis, data and IT solutions, and many more.
The event will take place on April 10, 2014 in the Rachel Carson room, at the Stuart Lee Udall Main Interior Building, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.
