Seasonal employment is defined as annually
recurring periods of work of at least 6 months, but less than 12 months, during a calendar
year. Recurring work that lasts less than 6 months is considered as temporary
employment. The agency determines the length of the season, subject to the condition
that it be clearly tied to the nature of the work. Seasonal employees are permanent employees who are placed in nonduty/nonpay status and recalled to duty in accordance with preestablished conditions of employment. Seasonal employees received the full range of benefits, consistent with the career-conditional or career appointment. |
