Interagency training facilities are used to promote cost-efficiency, address common training needs and increase the quality and consistency in training across Government.

Representative interagency training which may be of benefit to Interior employees includes:

  • The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Management Development Center Programs consist of several one and two-week residential seminars designed to teach the Government’s corporate culture, vision and values. They provide training and development in those executive leadership skills that assure the most effective government possible. Participants will be able to share experience with, and learn from, key managers and executives in other agencies.
  • Auditor training administered by the Department of Agriculture Graduate School.
  • Legal training provided by the Department of Justice Legal Education Institute.
  • Employee travel, space utilization, property management, and procurement training, provided by the General Services Administration Training Center.
  • Law enforcement training provided by the Department of Treasury, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
  • Safety training provided by the US Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration Training Institute.
  • Foreign language training provided by the Department of State Foreign Service Institute, Extension Studies Program.
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Emergency Training Center.
