Subject: Career and Career-Conditional Employment: Probation
We have received several inquiries seeking the current status of the
Departmental Manual Chapter on Career and Career-Conditional Employment
(370 DM 315), Subchapter 8, Probation. This is to confirm that Subchapter
8 is abolished. Regulations concerning Probation on Initial Appointment
to a Competitive Position can be found in 5 CFR, Part 315, Subpart H.
