Blacks In Government (BIG), a non-profit organization, has been a national response to the need for African Americans in public service to organize around issues of mutual concern and use their collective strength to confront workplace and community issues. BIG's goals are to promote EQUITY in all aspects of American life, EXCELLENCE in public service, and OPPORTUNITY for all Americans.
Federal Employed Women (FEW) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1969 shortly after Executive Order 11375 was issued which added sex-discrimination to the list of prohibited discrimination within the Federal Government. As a private organization, FEW works as a constructive pressure group to improve the status of women employed by the Federal government.
Gay, Lesbian, or Bi-sexual Employees (GLOBE)’s Mission is to provide a forum for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered Interior employees to meet and address issues of concern, and to provide a means to work with Departmental and Bureau management to advocate personnel policies and practices that encourage diversity, improve the workplace environment, and eliminate discrimination based on sexual orientation.
National Association of Hispanic Federal Executives, Inc (NAHFE) was established in 1980 by 50 GS-14/15 Hispanic Federal employees as a non-profit, non-partisan national organization. For the past 21 years, NAHFE has pro-actively promoted career opportunities for qualified Hispanics in the Federal GS/GM-13/15 grade levels and in the Senior Executive Service policy-making positions.
National Image Inc. is a network of professionals committed to finding positive and creative solutions to the challenges facing the pan-Hispanic community in the United States. It also provides a national forum for awareness, as well as a platform for effective change.
