Honor Awards
There are a number of Honor Awards that may be granted to Departmental employees. They are granted by the Department for Career accomplishment, exceptional support of Departmental missions, or for heroism. These include:
  • The Distinguished Service Award
  • The Meritorious Service Award
  • Unit Award for Excellence of Service
  • Outstanding Service Award
  • Superior Service Award
  • Valor Award
  • Exemplary Act Award

These awards are approved by the appropriate Assistant Secretary or Bureau/Office Director.
