Federal
- Small Business Search Database (under CCR)
The Dynamic Small Business Search Database is a searchable public data base of small businesses interested in selling to the government and to private industry. It is also the official register of businesses certified by the SBA as SDB, 8(a) BD and HUBZone. The data in the Dynamic Small Business Search Database was entered by the small businesses and is kept current by the small business through a user ID and password.
The site has a comprehensive search engine that can search the data base using many different criteria including socioeconomic small business type (SDB, Women Owned Small Business, etc.), geographic location, and NAICs code. When a user is satisfied with the list generated by the Dynamic Small Business Search, it is easy to copy the email addresses from the list, paste to an email browser, and then send a message or a request for quote directly to all of the small businesses on the list.
State
- Targeted Group and Economically Disadvantaged List
A searchable listing of Targeted Group (TG) and Economically Disadvantaged (ED) small businesses certified by the State of Minnesota Department of Administration’s Material Management Division can be found at the state’s Directory of Certified TG/ED Vendors.
- Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
An online listing of small businesses certified as DBE can be found at: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/eeocm/ucpdirectory.html.
Local
- CERT Program
The CERT Program is an effort by Hennepin County, Minneapolis, Ramsey County, and the City of St. Paul make it easier for businesses to participate in their small business programs with direct links to their websites from the CERT website. For the benefit of government contractors in search of certified vendors, a complete directory to all certified vendors can be found at: http://www.govcontracts.org/.
Corporate
- The Midwest Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC)
The MMSDC maintains an online directory of certified MBEs. This listing is only available to MMSDC corporate members. By working closely with its corporate members, the MMSDC assists corporate procurement departments in finding competitive managed certified ethnic minority businesses. Corporations interested in gaining access to certified MBEs can become a MMSDC corporate member in two different levels:
- Local membership
National membership (NMSDC)
- Information on corporate memberships, benefits, and requirements is available at www.mmsdc.org.
- WBENC
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) maintains an on line directory of certified WBEs. Access to the listing is limited to member organizations.
