Minnesota was awarded $133.3 million through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Urban Partnership Agreement to improve traffic flow to and from downtown Minneapolis. The local match of $50.2 million was secured in the 2008 legislative session. When the series of projects are completed in 2010, commuters will experience more transportation choices and less traffic congestion on some of the busiest roadways in Minnesota. The initiative will accomplish this through a combination of technology, transit, road pricing and telecommuting.
The Federal Executive Board of Minnesota has been invited to partner with eWorkPlace to increase telecommuting within our member agencies. eWorkPlace is a collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) and the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota and is funded by a state appropriation of $3.2 million. Qualifying FEB member agencies may be eligible for free or discounted personalized professional consulting and training to launch or expand telework options for employees. For more information on eWorkPlace visit www.eworkplace-mn.com
The FEB has been given trial access to both the manager and employee modules of online training for teleworkers. To access these courses, select the link to eWorkPlace Telework Training.
