Department of the Interior Ethics Office
Message from Secretary Gale Norton
A message to all new and present employees:
To ensure the public's trust in their Federal government, one of President Bush's first official actions was to send a memorandum to the heads of all Executive Departments and Agencies on the importance of proper ethical conduct. The President's directive was clear and unequivocal. He wants all new and existing employees to pay extra attention to observing all the standards of ethical conduct that apply to Federal employees. Please click on the link below and take a moment to read the President's message.

President Bush's Ethics Memorandum

I would like to add my support to the President's Memorandum. It is very important to me that all Department of the Interior employees become familiar with and observe all the standards of official conduct as they pursue their daily responsibilities. If any employee has a question regarding the application of any of the standards of official conduct, I strongly encourage them to seek the advice of their servicing ethics counselor.
