Subject: Equal Employment Opportunity Training (1 Hour Credit)

On September 17, 2014, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service are sponsoring training in observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 – October 15. The Hispanic Heritage Month national theme is “Hispanics: A preservation of history, a present of action, and a future of success.” The training takes place in the South Interior Building Auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and includes a presentation by Bruce Stewart, Deputy Director for Diversity and Inclusion, U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Employees interested in attending the training should register through DOI Learn at https://gm2.geolearning.com/geonext/doi/coursesummary.CourseCatalog.geo?selectTab=Scheduled+Classes&id=126646.

Employees outside of the Washington, D.C., area may view the training via live stream at www.doi.gov/events on the day of training. DOI managers, supervisors and employees are encouraged to participate. Attendance requires supervisory approval.
