ESA Participants Discuss Ecological Drought in California Forests
The DOI Southwest Climate Science Center and the California Landscape Conservation Cooperative cosponsored an Organized Oral Session on "Ecological Drought in California Forests: Linking Climate Science and Resource Management" at the Ecological Society of America's Annual Meeting in Sacramento on August 11, 2014.
The session was attended from start to finish by an audience of more than 100 scientists, as well as media representatives. Speakers included USGS scientists (Dan Cayan, Phil Van Mantgem, Matt Brooks) as well as scientists from universities and other federal agencies (National Park Service, Forest Service, NASA).
