Southwest CSC to host the Southwest Climate Summit, June 11-14, 2012
The Southwest Climate Science Center will host the Southwest Climate Summit on June 11-14. The author team will unveil the 2012 Southwest Climate Assessment (SWCA). The SWCA is a state-of-the art assessment and synthesis of climate change projections; climate change impacts on social, economic, and ecosystems; and adaptive capacity in the Southwest. Facilitated discussions will focus on prioritizing regional climate concerns, knowledge gaps, and research to provide input to the Southwest Climate Science Center’s Five Year Science Plan.
The Summit will be an important step in helping to structure future climate-effects research in the Southwest. More information is available at http://www.doi.gov/csc/southwest/index.cfm, and in the attached announcement.
