SC CSC Lead PI Receives 2014 AGU Climate Communication Prize

AGU 2014 Climate Communications PrizeDr. Katharine Hayhoe, Lead Principal Investigator at the Texas Tech University for the South Central Climate Science Center, was recently awarded the 2014 AGU Climate Communication Prize! This prize is given annually to one honoree in recognition for "the communication of climate science."

Dr. Hayhoe is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, which is part of the Department of Interior’s South Central Climate Science Center consortium. Her research focuses on establishing a scientific basis for assessing the regional to local-scale impacts of climate change on human systems and the natural environment.
