SC CSC Director will Serve on Advisory Committee to the Vice President for Research at OU
Dr. Kim Winton, Director for the USGS, South Central Climate Science Center was invited to serve on the Advisory Committee to the Vice President for Research (VPR) at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier established this organization about four years ago as a means to advise him on important matters regarding research across the entire university but also as a sounding board for him to test new ideas before discussing them more broadly. The committee has about 20 members, including all Associate Deans for Research, with representation across a broad array of disciplines. Also included is a member from the private sector as well as from a Federal agency - the latter in recognition of the importance of Federal partners (NOAA and now DOI).
