Upcoming Webinar on Managing Well-Connected Landscapes
Northwest Climate Science Center-funded scientist, Meade Krosby will give a webinar titled "Mapping Pacific Northwest Riparian Areas: Measuring Current Condition and Prioritizing for Climate Change Adaptation". The webinar will be hosted by the North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative 10:00-11:00 AM on July 24th.
Landscape connectivity is critical to conservation planning- plant and animal populations need well-managed corridors of suitable habitat to undergo climate-induced range shifts. Dr. Krosby will discuss the process of helping prioritize areas for conservation by creating high resolution maps of riparian habitat, condition and adaptation potential.
