Jesse earned an undergraduate degree in Geography from the University of Texas in Austin in 1999 and has worked as a GIS professional for a variety of state and municipal government agencies. Previous to joining the University of Washington's Landscape Ecology and Conservation Lab, he worked as a Conservation Information Manager for the Nature Conservancy's Washington program for seven years. For his Master's degree, Jesse is studying the impact of climate change on terrestrial vertebrate species distributions and investigating changes in habitat suitability and bioclimatic variables in protected areas.
