Isabel Guerrero




isabel picBorn in Lima, Perú, Isabel received her BS in Economic Science from the Universidad del Pacífico. She worked for the World Wildlife Fund-Perú as a budgeting analyst and for the United Nations Environment Programme in Panamá, where she dealt with conservationist projects that were approached from the concept of "ecosystem for human well-being" in the implementation of their activities. She has worked as a consultant for WWF-Panama, Audubon Society, and the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean to identify and evaluate measures to reduce vulnerability to climate variability in the Panama Canal basin. Isabel's MS in Applied Economics/Resources and Environmental Economics at Oregon State University focused on estimating the demand for roundwood from sawmills and plywoods in Oregon. She started her doctoral work in Applied Economics at OSU in 2012, studying the economics of climate change for possible impacts on the region and evaluating mitigation and adaptation strategies.
