07/07/2014

Scanning conservation horizon 200x257The Climate Change Vulnerability Assessments course will be offered by the USFWS National Conservation Training Center on September 30 – October 2, 2014 in Lacrosse WI. The course is based on the 2011 publication "Scanning the Conservation Horizon - A Guide to Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment". This course is designed to guide conservation and resource management practitioners in two essential elements in the design of climate adaptation plans. The course will use regionally specific examples tailored to participants.

There is no tuition cost and the DOI North Central Climate Science Center has limited funds available to cover travel expenses for regional stakeholders and Tribal Environmental Professional to attend. Anyone interested in exploring this travel support should write to Jeff Morisette at morisettej@usgs.gov, or call 303-968-8986.
