NASA Supercomputer Provides High-Resolution Climate Datasets

09/24/2013

Recently released datasets and images from a team of scientists at NASA, the Climate Analytics Group, and California State University, can be used in regional analyses of climate change by the DOI Climate Science Centers.

A news feature in the Clarksville Online describes the climate data and its importance, with a quote from the North Central Climate Science Center Director, Jeff Morisette:

“Our center will use the new climate datasets for the ecological response modeling being done at the center,” said Jeffrey Morisette, director of the North Central Climate Science Center, Denver, CO. “Having access to a rigorous, consistent, and well documented set of high-resolution climate projections will help ensure our analysis and results are coordinated with the IPCC fifth assessment report.”
