2014 Operating Plans


On January 17, 2014, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 (P.L. 113-76) was enacted providing appropriations through the end of fiscal year 2014. The Joint Explanatory Statement accompanying Division G of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, requires the Department submit operating plans for the National Park Service and Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Payments in lieu of taxes


The President signed the Agricultural Act of 2014;(H.R. 2642 / Public Law 113-79) which included funding of the Payments in Lieu of Taxes program for Fiscal Year 2014. The Department sent requests to stakeholders the week of February 10th for required data to be furnished by March 14, 2014 in anticipation of making payments before July 1.

2014 Consolidated Appropriations Act


On January 17, 2014, the President signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 (P.L. 113-76), providing appropriations for fiscal year 2014.Ā  The Department of the Interior funding in the bill is $11.6 billion, $275 million or 2.3 percent below the funding level requested in 2014 and $653 million or 5.9 percent over the 2013 enacted level.
