Q: What is Assistive Technology?

A: Any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off-the-shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. (Source - RESNA Assistive Technology Resource Book, 1990)

Q: Does the ATC purchase accommodations for DOI employees?

A: Equipment is purchased for Interior employees through an agreement with Department of Defense's CAP program. Call the Center for more information or fill out the CAP Request form and fax it to us at 202-208-5174.
