Public Privacy Impact Assessments

The E-Government Act of 2002 requires agencies to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) before developing or procuring IT systems or projects that collect, maintain or disseminate information in identifiable form from or about members of the public, and make the PIA publicly available through the website of the agency, publication in the Federal Register, or other means.
