Accommodation Requests

The DOI ACCESS Center connects DOI employees and supervisors with information and resources on assistive technology, ergonomics, and other accommodation solutions.

Once the employee (or someone on his/her behalf) submits a request for accommodation, the employee’s manager reviews the request. There are additional phases of the reasonable accommodation process outlined specifically in section 6.1 “Process Description” in the Personnel Bulletin 14-01 Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities (February 20, 2014). Additionally, there is an illustrated flow chart that summarizes the process.
