Len Price has spent most of his professional life working with educational programs for youth and young adults. He taught high school social studies in Minnesota public schools for 34 years, retiring in 1999. During twenty of those years, he also served in the Minnesota  State Legislature, eight years in the House of Representatives and twelve years in the Senate. Much of his legislative work was in environment, finance and education issues and policy.

Since 2005, he has served as the Executive Director of Conservation Corps Minnesota and Iowa. This non profit organization had previously been part of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. This Corps has not only grown in size and into Iowa, but it has also expanded opportunities  for corps members into energy weatherization programs, urban after-school programs for high school youngsters in St. Paul and Minneapolis, and individual placements in Soil and Water Conservation Districts across Minnesota.

Len's volunteer and public service includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Council of Non Profits, and The Corps Network.

He enjoys spending time with his family interacting with the many seasonal outdoor activities available in Minnesota. He and his wife live in Woodbury, Minnesota, a suburb east of St. Paul.

Len holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Len traces his interest in conservation and sustainability to his own experiences with the changing seasonal outdoor recreation menu in the Midwest- fishing, skiing, canoeing, camping, hunting, and being an outdoors kid. He lives by this sentiment: 

"We need to be good stewards of our natural resources and we need to engage youth and the public in the pursuit of the enjoyment and conservation of these great gifts."
